Find Buzzing Nightspots With Swarmly

For those who don?t like to plan an evening too far in advance, the free iPhone app Swarmly can tell you the hotspots before you head out. It answers ?where should we go?? and invites you to ?be part of the buzz.?

There are already many ways to find out what restaurants and bars are nearby, but with Swarmly, based in Glasgow, Scotland, you also find out which businesses and events have a lot of traffic right now.

If you like to make a grand entrance when the party is already hopping, Swarmly can help. If you want a quiet night on the town to really talk with old friends without loud music blaring, keep away from swarms indicated on the Swarmly map. A swarm is a group of Swarmly users checked into one spot or event.

When RESCUECOM asked how Swarmly is different from other social apps, founder and CEO Marco De Nichilo replied, ?We are not about static information, search, badges, check-ins or stalking your friends, we are social satnav.?

Find out where the crowd is before you leave your hive. As you can guess, Swarmly likes bee vocabulary. ?Pollinate? or be counted as part of a ?swarm? occupying a certain place. A ?buzz? is a message with a hashtag and sentiment ? your rating of the location, so others know if it would be fun to join.

So far, Swarmly reports 2,000 downloads and more than 130,000 swarms. The Swarmly blog says that Thursday is the busiest day and Sunday the least busy. ?Swarmly is available globally and can already give you an idea of the busiest areas in over 20 major cities across the globe, night or day,? De Nichilo added.

?User feedback has been massively positive,? De Nichilo noted, ?as soon as people understand what the app is offering they immediately understand the value proposition. Currently the biggest question is when will we have an Android version. We hope to release an Android build early next year.?

?We want to make Swarmly much smarter,? he continued. ?This is only the first step in a viable minimum product. We want to make this our users? go-to app to find out what is going on around them in real time, where is busiest when and why.?

To keep up with what other Swarmly users are doing, make sure you have a reliable computer service, such as RESCUECOM, that can provide iPhone repair and iPhone support whenever you need it.

?There are literally hundreds of use cases for Swarmly, from quickly sharing your location (anonymously or not) to promoting a group, crowd or venue,? De Nichilo said. ?We designed our tagging system to be dynamic and flexible so that they can be used to tag any swarm for many different purposes. There are so many things we haven?t even thought of yet, we can?t wait to see what users do.?

You will always know the latest buzz when you use Swarmly!
