Chevy is the short term for Chevrolet brand of car owned by General Motors and is one of the best known brands of vehicles in the United States. The company manufactures and creates cars that range from compact automobile to medium-duty pickup trucks. Chevrolet cars are meant to be marketed to the middle class and are often made with patriotic elements in their promotions. All in all, the company creates and manufactures eighteen cars.

Chevrolet cars began and were first manufactured in 1911. The company was established by William Durrant and Louis Chevrolet. Chevrolet first aimed to create cars that were med-sized and the price of the vehicles is on the middle-of-the-road range. Then again, beginning on the post war era, the stylist named Harley Earl began to produce some classy, beautiful and innovative vehicles.

General Motors initiated and started innovative marketing concepts of branding along with customer loyalty. The customer stated at an entry level of the 'good old reliable Chevy (properly Chevrolet)'.

As they prospered and moved forward in life the aim was for them to move up through the product line.

From Chevrolet to Pontiac perhaps or an Oldsmobile , on later ( hopefully ) to the upper market segment product of Buick and hopefully in the end , Lord willing to the ultimate high end of General Motors ( and highly profitable ) luxury status car line of Cadillac. Customers and their families.GM upper management reasoned are exceptionally brand loyal when it comes to automobiles. First cars are transportation, need to be reliable and be counted on. Secondly the car in American culture came to become a badge of position and success in life. Unfortunately over the years GM management and much of the American automotive production and marketing departments forgot this very lesson.
The entry level vehicles were foreign Asian made econoboxes. Guess what these entry level new car buyers have as their preferences now - Lexus, Infiniti and other higher end brands and models of the cars that they started with.

Cars of Chevrolet are available on various sizes, colors and styles. The brand names of the cars made by Chevrolet include Impala, Nova, Monte Carlo, Corvette and Corvair. They also have trucks and utility vehicles such as S-10, Blazer and Silverado. A lot of information about each of the said vehicles can be searched and found on many auto and consumer websites. With just one click of the mouse, a customer is able to compare prices and car features. Also, with just one click, one can find the type of Chevrolet vehicle that can suit one's desire and transportation needs.

It is worth noting that from the year 1955 all the way to 2002, Chevrolet created the small block of two hundred and sixty five cubic inch V-8 that has become a part of almost all cars of Chevrolet at one certain point or another. This falls to the sense of tradition and quality that is inherent and innate in the cars manufactured by Chevrolet.

With regards to tradition, the target market of Chevrolet is middle-class families who reside in the heartland of the United States. The promotions and commercials done by Chevrolet tend to bear patriotic theme and inculcate the idea that the vehicles of the company are purely manufactured and made in United States of America.

In closing, Chevrolet is owned by General Motors and was established in 1911. The said company creates and manufactures a wide array of vehicles which primarily targets the middle class people as customers. The commercials of the car's brand possesses patriotic theme to instill to its consumers the spirit of patriotism. Its no secret that Chevrolet's corporate slogan became " Chevrolet - The Heartbeat of America".
